摘要
In this article an all-optical logic AND gate is realized and demonstrated in a substructure of two-dimensional photonic crystal using dielectric silicon rods. The operating principles of the proposed device are based on linear optics which is greatly effective at 1550 nm optical window and other several wavelengths also. It's structure is very simple, reliable and closely packed in the scale of wavelengths of light. The proposed design of the device may provide a very effective result and access to the realization of all-optical logic AND gate. The particular advantages of the device are it's low operating power and fast response time. To calculate sufficient photonic band gap the Plain wave expansion method is used. Finite difference time domain method is employed to analyze the simulation process.
