Data reconciliation as an on-line tool for fault detection and process supervision

摘要
The first part of the article introduces the concepts of data reconciliation. It is a method that uses information redundancy and conservation laws to correct measurements. Its benefits are numerous and range from improved measurements lay-out. The sources of measurement errors ate described as well as the fundamental concepts of redundancy and measurement accuracy. Finally the article shows the differences between process simulation and data reconciliation. The second part of the article deals with practical applications. The present status of data reconciliation is analysed. A few examples are then shown in chemical plants, refineries and power plants. As a conclusion, the future of data reconciliation is investigated. Copyright (C) 1998 IFAC.
