Structure studies of the exotic nuclei through Coulomb dissociation

摘要
Coulomb break up of the neutron-rich has been studied experimentally using secondary beams (-500-600 MeV/u) of unstable nuclei produced at GSI. The spectroscopic factor for the neutron occupying the s(1/2) in C-15 ground state evaluated by our experiment is consistent with the earlier reported value. Our data analysis for Coulomb break up of C-17 shows that most of the cross section yields the C-16 core in its excited state.
