Facile Fabrication of Transparent Superhydrophobic Film Based on PTFE by One-Step Hot Melting Process

摘要
A facile method was developed to prepare transparent superhydrophobic films on glass slides by the hot melting of PTFE micro powders. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Drop Meter and UV-VIS scanning spectrophotometer were utilized to evaluate its morphology, wettability and optical properties, respectively. The results showed that the contact angle of the film was greater than 160 degrees and the transmittance of the film was greater than 56.2% simultaneously. Furthermore, the approach is supposed to have a promising future in the application of various fields due to its easy operation and low cost.
