The heat capacities and the densities have been measured for aqueous solutions of N-acetyl-N'-methylglycinamide, N-acetyl-N'-methyl-L-alpha-alaninamide, N-acetyl-N'-methyl-L-alpha-valinamide, N-acetyl-N'-methyl-L-alpha-leucinamide, N-acetyl-N'-methyl-L-alpha-serinamide, N-acetyl-N'-methyl-L-alpha-threoninamide, and N-acetyl-N'-methyl-L-alpha-histidinamide. These results have been used to calculate the contributions of the amino acid side chains to the partial molar heat capacities and the partial molar volumes. The results were compared with literature data obtained for similar systems.
