With the appearance of college entrance English examination reform program, educators, students and parents start to doubt about the necessity of the existence of Public English in vocational colleges. In view of this question, this article demonstrates the necessity of the existence of Public English in Higher Vocational colleges from the five aspects: the status of English in national education after college entrance English examination reform, English Hegemony and economic globalization, the key ability development, as well as quality education and students' personal occupation development
