摘要
This article has the intention to analyze the interpretation of the serological test of Foot-and-mouth disease in immunized animals, following the OIE's rules and with the scientific knowledge. The authors emphasize that the commercial vaccines possesses viral particles capable to induce false positive results in serological tests. It important to detach the importance of the attainment of purified vaccines and the adjusted interpretation of the diagnosis in immunized livestock in reduction of the number of eliminated animals and of the consequent economic and social costs. The authors had concluded that the definitive diagnosis should consider the indicative elements of the epidemiologist monitoring system and not only the laboratory tests, clinic manifestations and pathology observed in the animals and consider important the interpretation of the Foot-and-mouth outdreak trough systemizing the analysis of the OIE articles, of the scientific knowledge.
