摘要
Review of knowledge on the urease enzyme, the genesis of its discovery and understanding of its structure, properties and functions, as well as the mechanism of its catalytic action was discussed. The negative impact of urease on the environment in the context of urea fertilization and the use of various environmentally harmless additives, including urease inhibitors, were discussed. A number of compounds inhibiting the activity of soil urease were presented.
