摘要
Most existing research studies in cooperative communication are based on a half-duplex assumption. Motivated by recent successes in hardware implementation of wireless full-duplex transmission, we propose a full-duplex cooperative communication (FDCC) approach to maximize the achievable transmission rate between a source and a destination with the help of a relay node. Under the consideration of hardware cost, only the relay node requires full-duplex wireless equipment in our design. In order to cancel the interference happened at the destination due to simultaneous transmissions by the relay and users, we design a decoding scheme and derive a close-form expression of achievable transmission rate for both amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward cooperative networks. Extensive simulation results show that our FDCC can significantly improve the transmission rate as compared with direct transmission and half-duplex cooperative communication (HDCC).
