Against the background of global competition, managers in many industries realize that competition has moved beyond firm-to-firm rivalry to supply chain against supply chain. The strategic analysis of supply chain from the perspective of systematic research on sustained development offers a framework of shaping and implementing supply chain strategy and has become an important aspect of business strategy. The strategic analysis of supply chain management requires us not only to explore the core competence of the firm, but also to analyze the transverse and longitudinal relationship among the game players in the industry. This paper integrates the views of industry organization, core competence, and supply chain management into one analytic framework. And then, some implications can be made in brief.
