Mobile phones are the primary way of accessing the Internet, chat, and social media in Thailand. The country is now in the midst of transitioning from the 3G network for mobile phones, with emphasis on voice calls, text messaging and slow Internet, to 4G, which is based on Mobile IP with higher speeds which makes it more suitable for all Internet use, especially video, while maintaining interoperability with the 3G network. 4G subscriptions are generally more expensive than 3G subscriptions and often require the purchase of a new mobile phone to take advantage of the new features. In this work, we explore factors that influence the intention to use 4G and use the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to assess the perceived usefulness (PU) and the perceived ease of use (PEU).
