摘要
Implant-supported provisional restorations can make an important contribution to the success of treatment in various implant treatments. While immediate implant placement with immediate pro-visionalization offers the chance to preserve the natural emergence profile, the emergence profile has to be redeveloped in a classical implant placement with submucosal healing. Complex reconstructions of hard and soft tissue in the anterior region in particular often require the incorporation of a temporary restoration for up to 6 months, since the bony alveolar process is still undergoing remodeling processes after augmentation measures, which may be accompanied by volume chang-es. A temporary restoration bridges the period during which significant dynamic tissue changes are still taking place. At the same time, the soft tissue can be anatomically shaped. This article presents different cases and describes the clinical procedure embedded in the scientific literature.
