摘要
The dependence of the gauge coupling constants of Horava-Witten models on the size of the compact dimensions are discussed. Values of all factors are computed for the first time. Non-standard embedding are considered for the first time and illustrate the possibility of a hidden sector with smaller tree level gauge coupling than the observable one. Possible presence and effects of dark matter on the hidden wall are emphasized. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
