Sol-gel Synthesis, Structural and Dielectric Characteristics of Nanocrystalline Barium Titanate Solid

摘要
Nanosized BaTiO3 material is synthesized by sol-gel method. The crystallization temperature of the material is confirmed from TG/ DTA analysis. The Rietveld refined XRD and the FTIR are used to characterize synthesized material. The tetragonal phase with the lattice parameters: a = b = 3.9956 angstrom, c = 4.0266 angstrom and space group P4mm is confirmed. The tetragonality ratio (c/a) is found to be 1.008 which is less than single crystal. The particle size is calculated by using the XRD data and TEM images and it is found to be 70 nm approximately. Dielectric property of sample with temperature and frequency are also studied.
