Experimental comparison between far- and near-infrared wavelengths in free-space optical systems

摘要
We report an experimental comparison of three atmospheric transparency windows (800 nm, 1600 nm, and 10 mu m) upon scattering attenuation from haze and fog. Our results prove that a 10-mu m window is considerably better than the 1600 and 800 nm ones in dense and thick upslope fog conditions. (c) 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
