This article explores the historical evolution of the idea of a unified Europe in the works of well-known philosophers of the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth centuries and the attitude among Russian thinkers toward the idea of European unity. The primary focus is on analyzing texts by Nietzsche devoted to the future of Europe. Contemporary problems pertaining to the formation of a unified European space are also raised.
