摘要
This article focuses on emerging issues associated with HIV/AIDS in aging minority populations. Based on a review of the literature as well as available national surveillance data, this article discusses current knowledge about HIV/AIDS in aging minority populations, particularly as they relate to sociodemographic, cultural, and health status factors. The authors not only examine the circumstances of older persons infected by HIV/AIDS but also those affected by HIV/AIDS as a result of additional of caregiving responsibilities. Recommendations for future research are provided.
