Numerical simulation of spherical shell's fracture caused by the inside-explosive loading

摘要
In this paper the problem of the deformation, damage and fracture rules of spherical steel shell under inside-explosive loading is studied theoretically and numerically. First, the incremental constitutive relations for damaged thermoplastic materials are presented. After inserting this constitutive relation into the computational program and using an ultimate damage controlled fracture criterion, the systematic numerical simulations for the deformation, damage and fracture process of 45(#) steel spherical shells under inside-explosive loading have been completed. The distribution rules of stresses, particle velocity, temperature and damage in the shell at some typical times are obtained. Some characteristics and rules are summarized and compared with those of cylindrical shell's fracture.
