摘要：
The very important problem in the intelligent computer aided design technology is the knowledge representation, organization and knowledge base management. This paper investigates the drawbacks of existing expert system for design, discusses the features of mechanical design process. Then it studies the knowledge representation and the organization strategies of knowledge base. It adopts agent-oriented technology? to represent all of the design knowledge, and the organization strategy of knowledge base is also agent-oriented. This system has high efficiency and good adaptability to different design problems, and is easily managed and maintained.
