摘要
In this work, five complementary symmetric split ring resonators (CSSRRs) are analyzed in the microstrip transmission line and their applications are discussed in the synthesis of planar microwave devices. Size of each device is 25 x 30 x 1.6mm with 3mm microstrip transmission line on the top of FR4 (epsilon(r) = 4.4) substrate and CSSRRs are etched in the ground plane for electrical coupling. Each structure is analyzed from 2 to 12 GHz for resonance frequency, notch depth, bandwidth, unloaded Q factor and electric field concentration. After optimization of different design parameters using high frequency structure simulator, five devices are fabricated using thermal transfer PCB fabrication technique and measurements are performed using vector network analyzer (VNA) AV3672. Potential applications of each structure are proposed based on the performance of devices.
