摘要
This paper discusses a method for implementing maximum power point tracking MPPT technique for photovoltaic panels using Improved Pattern Search Method IPSM based adaptive sliding mode controller. The software used are PSIM for the simulation of IPSM algorithm for generating reference signal, MATLAB Simulink for adaptive SMC to track the reference signal generated by IPSM MPPT in PSIM. Simcoupler-interface is used to couple the adaptive SMC controller between PSIM and MATLAB Simulink. The obtained results from the simulations show increase in speed of tracking the maximum power point of PV array.
