Percutancous transluminal septal myocardial ablation (PTSMA) is an alternative therapeutical procedure for patients with severe hypertrophic cardiomiopathy. Alcohol injection may cause arrhythmias and conduction disturbances, even several days after the procedure; this suggests prolonged hospital monitoring. Aim of our study was to evaluate feasibility and usefulness of "telecardiology" after PTSMA for a reduction of hospital stay and a safer hospital discharge.
