High-energy muons in the Pamir experiment

摘要
An alternative explanation of the anomalies present during hadron absorption in lead and observed at an energy of approximately tens of TeV in deep lead x-ray emulsion chambers in the Pamir experiment is presented [1,2]. The hypothesis that high-energy muons with energies >100 TeV are present in the atmosphere and can be the origin of the additional cascades detected at a large depth of lead, which was proposed in [3], is tested.
