摘要
In this paper, a MATLAB code is developed to carry out the liquefaction analysis using a simplified and ground response analysis (GRA) approach. For the GRA approach, linear, equivalent linear and Mohr-Coulomb (MC) soil models are incorporated in the code. For the equivalent linear soil model, modulus reduction and damping curve are used, while in the MC model, the plasticity of soil is utilised using the c-phi strength parameters. In order to validate the MATLAB code for the GRA approach, DEEPSOIL (set as a benchmark) results are compared in terms of amplification factor, strain transfer function, acceleration time history, strain time history and response spectrum. It is found that MATLAB code yields the exact results as those by DEEPSOIL. The amplification factor for the MC model is higher as compared to the linear model of soil, and the MC model shifts the predominant frequency of each borehole on the lower side. The Guwahati region is taken as a case study to show the application of the developed MATLAB code. The investigation is carried out at the five locations of the borehole. The cyclic stress is examined using the simplified and ground response analysis caused by the earthquake motion, which is further used in the calculation of the factor of safety. The factor of safety against the liquefaction is calculated at a regular interval of depth at five boreholes using the simplified and GRA approach. It is observed that the average FOS using the simplified approach is higher as compared to GRA (equivalent linear and MC soil model) approach. At all the boreholes, the FOS is less than unity, which shows a higher probability of liquefaction potential.
