摘要
Optical glasses with high third-order optical nonlinearities are promising for the development of progressive nonlinear photonic devices. In view of this, Eu3+ doped lanthanum lead borate glasses with varied concentrations of PbO have been prepared and their optical nonlinearities were studied by utilizing Z-scan technique. The variation of nonlinear coefficients demonstrated an increase trend as a function of PbO in the glass composition. Hence the studied glasses are believed to be beneficial for photonic applications.
