Invited paper: High performance OLEDs for displays and general lighting

摘要
Recent progress in organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) is discussed. High external quantum efficiency (EQE) of over 25% have been realized by using phosphorescent emitting materials, resulting in the high luminous efficiency of 130 lm/W for green OLED and 50 lm/W for white OLED. OLEDs with stacked structures were developed to improve driving lifetime. in these OLEDs, required drive current can be much reduced and lifetime of over 100,000 hrs were achieved. Luminares using white OLED panels were demonstrated.
