摘要
The authors propose a novel distributed optical-fibre temperature sensor whose physical mechanism is based on the frequency derived technique using the optical Kerr effect, The system exhibits a spatial resolution of 0.6m and temperature resolution of +/-3 degrees C. The behaviour of the system is examined for the temperature range 60-150 degrees C. The system has the potential for application where a rapid response is required.
