On transverse vibrations of functionally graded isotropic linearly elastic rotating solid disks

摘要
The effects of material inhomogeneity on the transverse vibrations of the rotating solid disk of constant thickness are studied. Focus is on two cases: the radial and circumferential stresses that vary with radial distance are identical at all points of the solid disk; the circumferential stress is a constant at all points of the solid disk. It is demonstrated that the variation of elasticity modulus with the radial distance plays a key role in the analysis of transverse vibrations of rotating disks.
