摘要
Gender stereotypes are an important component that holds a significant impact on the evolution of the human being from the first days of life, often acting as a barrier to its development and blocking the full use of the native potential the individual was gifted with. Long disputed by specialists, gender stereotypes continue to exist both in the family environment, in educational institutions and in the community as a whole. This paper aims to highlight the most important aspects of the phenomenon mentioned above, and the implications that gender stereotypes hold in human development, offering alternatives and solutions to reduce their impact - a prerequisite for harmonious evolution and the full development of the individual potential.
