Reactions of solid glycine induced by keV ion irradiation

摘要
The main chemical products of keV ion-irradiated glycine have been identified by GC/MS and show chemical effects similar to those with radiolysis and hot-atom chemistry. Secondary emission ions from amino acid through keV atom bombardment were investigated by mass spectrometer and indicate that the primary process of the interaction between the glycine and keV ion through nuclear collision is fragmentation of the target molecule. It is believed that the nuclear collision is also one of the main primary physical processes and may be important to the biological effects of keV ion irradiation. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
