摘要
In this paper, a wireless module is presented using a high-efficiency and low-area current-mode DC-DC buck converter with an on-chip current sensor for feedback control. The DC-DC converter was fabricated using a standard 65 nm CMOS process and has a 1.1 mm(2) area. Its output voltage drops to 1.2 V from 2.5 V-3.6 V input, with an output ripple voltage of about 10 mV. To decrease the size of the external device while retaining high efficiency, a 2 MHz switching frequency and 2.2 mu H inductance were chosen. Power efficiency exceeds 80% for output current ranging from 50 to 850 mA.
