Via exploiting the mixed-ligand method, a novel metal-organic framework (MOF) having Zn(II) (namely, {[Zn(HBmic)(2-Aim)]center dot 3DMF center dot 2H(2)O) (1, 2-Aim=2-Aminoimidazole, H(2)Bmic=1-benzimidazole-5-carboxylic acid)) has been successfully prepared. Furthermore, activated 1 can adsorb the C2H2 selectively over CH(4 )and CO2, revealing high CO2/C2H2 and CH4/C2H2 separation under the environmental conditions. The theoretical selectivity of desired adsorption solution is 4.7-12.4 and 43.4-64.6, respectively. For the treatment of postmenopausal osteoarthritis, the biological activity of the new compound against postmenopausal osteoarthritis was evaluated and the detail mechanism was explored at the same time. The possible binding interactions that are initiated by the Zn complex have been further confirmed by performing molecular docking simulations, where the explicit hydrogen bonds are identified.
