Primary creep characteristic of TA2 at room temperature

摘要
Primary creep characteristic of industrially pure titanium TA2 at room temperature was studied. The results of creep tests show that there exists an obvious creep at room temperature and a creep critical stress for TA2. The creep will occur obviously in case of stress larger than the critical stress value. Analysis of the creep test result indicates that primary creep of TA2 titanium at room temperature comply with beta creep law. A new mathematics expression between beta value and stress is established in this paper, beta = beta(0)(sigma-sigma(c))(m), where sigma(c) is creep critical stress whose value is 267.25 MPa for TA2 titanium at room temperature.
