Hybrid system modeling and analyses of SMB chromatographic separation processes

摘要
Simulated Moving Bed (SMB) chromatographic separation process is one of the complex chemical separation processes, which fuses continuous and discrete dynamics. According to its characteristcs, continuous and discrete variables is derived to model the process by hybrid automaton approach. The relationship between continuous and discrete dynamics is analysed and the reason why discrete states and system output jump are presented. In order to verify the conclusions, an SMB simulation case is implemented and some results about hybrid phenomena are shown. Within the context of hybrid system modeling, the behavior of SMB process is clearer than that of traditional modeling and analysis methods.
