摘要：
The paper presents quality assurance system in European Higher Education Area. The role of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) is highlighted as well as the use of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area. The standards are covering evaluation of internal and external quality assurance system of higher education institutions and external evaluation of quality assurance agencies. External quality assurance procedures of higher education institutions are described as well as experiences of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Osijek acquired in the process of quality assurance system external evaluation.
