摘要
We demonstrate theoretically that a large class of ultrathin ferromagnetic films shows anisotropy in the domain wall orientation in spite of the isotropy in the exchange interactions. The reason is an orientation-dependent density of nearest-neighbor atomic bonds due to the symmetry of an underlying atomic lattice. (c) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
