A dedicated CMOS Sigma-Delta modulator for use in a biomedical measurement system is presented. Measurement system is developed at the Medical Physics Laboratory of the University of Amsterdam. It is portable and battery operated. System consists of 32 measurement active electrodes, analog-to-digital converters, and transmitter. Every channel having its own dedicated analog-to-digital converter (ADC). In this way, time skew of measured biopotentials is avoided. Large number of ADCs in a battery powered system emphasizes Low Power Low Voltage operation. ADC was designed at Electronic Instrumentation Laboratory, TU Delft.
