The Status Problems and Strategies of the Discipline Structure of Higher Education in Henan Province

This paper analyses the status and the major problems of the discipline structure of 31 public undergraduate colleges and universities in Henan Province. The major problem was that all the disciplines were not distributed evenly, agriculture and medicine were less, and the present situation of the professional structure was imbalance. In order to promote overall optimization of the discipline structure of higher education of Henan province, two strategies should be adopted. One is to establish a discipline structure adjustment mechanism of government guidance and university autonomy, the other is to promote the unbalanced and sustainable development of higher education discipline structure unceasingly.
