摘要：

Morganella morganii, a Gram-negative rod commonly found in the intestines of humans and other animals, is here confirmed to cause a fatal infection in chickens by isolation and identification of the bacteria, 165 rRNA gene sequencing, and experimental infection. This is the first case of M. morganii infection in chickens. (c) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
