摘要
Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) are the special application of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). Due to increased number of road accidents, VANETs provide safety to road vehicles by a proper coordination with vehicles and road-side units. In addition to security measures of vehicles, the privacy of the vehicles has become an important concern. Vehicles require to preserve the privacy of contextual information such as identity, location, and speed of the vehicle; otherwise, with these information an adversary can send false information to some target vehicles, which can cause the damage (e.g. traffic diversion, road accident). In this paper, we present a privacy-preserving protocol for VANET that detects misbehaviour of vehicles. The proposed protocol provides end-to-end security of vehicles, with the vehicles being anonymous. The protocol supports data aggregation by the vehicles, traceability, and protection against Sybil attacks, which are important features in modern VANETs.
