摘要
As the number of international business travelers continues to grow, so does the list of destinations, many of which are endem, c for both hepatitis A and B. Generally, travelers are unaware of the risks of acquiring vv'ral hepatitis when traveling,- many are unsure of modes of transmission and do not seek pretravel advice or do not follow the recommendations of travel health professionals. Infected employees can result in increased health care costs and reduced productivity in the workplace. Safe and efficacious monovalent vaccines and a ' combined hepatitis A and B vaccine are available. Successful corporate health and immunization programs can prevent hepatitis A and B when employees are abroad on business. This article examines the distribution, risks, costs, burden, and prevention of hepatitis A and B in the international business traveler.
