摘要
The authors examine the seismic response of concentrically braced structures designed according to common design procedures and in compliance with capacity design principles. The numerical investigation is intended to define the role of the elastic and mechanical characteristics of the structures on the ultimate seismic response of the systems. Attention is particularly focused on the overstrength factor of braces and on the effect of early buckling of braces on the seismic response.
