Climax(x) Magnetic Separators, developed and patented by CLI Corporation, are the dominant magnetic separators in North America. They were developed to allow high capacity operation with excellent magnetite recovery. These separators have been installed in a number of plants, including the Greenrup, Preparation Plant, Lady Dunn Preparation Plant and Homer City Coal Preparation Plant. This paper will discuss the advantages of the Climax(x) design and present data to substantiate its superior performance.
