摘要：
This paper is dedicated to the jubilee of the Kurnakov Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, and concerned with two aspects: historical and scientific. The latter encompasses the advances in the physicochemical analysis and synthesis of ionic liquid crystals, as well as in the chemistry of platinum-metal coordination compounds.
