摘要
The use of renewable energy in the last few years has increased although it is still expensive. This is might be caused by the increasing of public awareness to the environment. Hybrid systems are one way to reduce the price of renewable energy. This paper discusses the hybrid of photovoltaic (PV) and biogas as renewable energy power generation that is located in Superior Livestock Breeding Center and Forage of Animal Feed (BBPTU-HPT) Baturraden. The electricity generated from the system will be used to supply the electricity in the cattle pen such as for lighting, water sprayers and grass chopper machine. Electricity needs in cattle pen are 0.8kW at the lowest load and 12kW at the highest load. The potential for renewable energy at this location is 126.74-220.42 kWh per day from biogas and the solar radiation potential is 4.75 kWh/m(2)/d. Homer simulations will be used to determine the combination of generation at the lowest price. The simulation results showed that the lowest generation price is $ 0.25. This value is still more expensive compared to the price of electricity from PLN which is $ 0.1.
