摘要
A Bogomol'nyi-type bound is constructed for topological solitons in the O(3) nonlinear sigma model coupled to gravity with a negative cosmological constant. Spacetimes made by self-dual solutions form a class of Godel-type universes. We also show that static Nielsen-Olesen vortices saturate the Bogomol'nyi-type bound only when the cosmological constant vanishes. [S0556-2821(98)03220-2].
