Plane twisted: A twisted Möbius aromatic [28]hexaphyrin/Pd II complex and a planar Hückel aromatic [26]hexaphyrin/Pd II complex are reversibly interconvertible by an unprecedented palladium migration through oxidation and reduction (see scheme). The [26]hexaphyrin/PdII complex is a precursor to [26]hexaphyrin hetero-bis(metal) complexes having PdII/CuIII or Pd II/AgIII centers. C gray, N blue, H white, F green, Pd yellow.
