摘要
The cylindrical surface wave in a 3-layered plasma antenna is solved using the electromagnetic waveguide theory. Electric and magnetic fields and the corresponding dispersion equations are derived and solved to calculate the complex propagation constant gamma. Results are verified by full-wave simulations. Using the resonance condition in a dipole (or monopole) antenna, the effective wavelength lambda(eff) is calculated showing a wavelength scaling with respect to the free space wavelength. The scaling factor depends on the geometry and material properties of antenna.
