The use of a rotating disk electrode for analysis of copper

摘要
The voltammetric behavior of the ions [Cu(NH3)(4)](2+) is studied using a glassy-carbon rotating disk electrode under argon in a background electrolyte of 0.15 N NH4OH + 0.1 N NH4Cl. The limiting current is shown to be a linear function of the concentration of [Cu(NH3)(4)](2+) in the concentration range of 0.48 - 48.30 mmole/liter. The method shows good reproducibility and can be used for analysis of copper in solutions of concentration higher than 2.5 divided by 10(-4) g/ml with a relative error less than 2%. The time of a single determination is 20 min.
