摘要：
Portal drained viscera flux measurements during a meal gives important information about intestinal metabolism and absorption. For that purpose, we have developed a model in conscious pigs. From several studies using this model, we showed that intestinal metabolism is important in determining nutrient production by the gut. Using isotopes, nutrient absorption can be calculated.
